The home stay is run by a family who really make you feel comfortable, they are friendly and warm. Another plus here is their kitchen, it offers delicious local food cheap, found tourists from other hotels dining here.
Breakfast is limited and only one slice of toast however made up for that with fresh juice and smoothies.

We came to amed for a relaxed beach time. Amed is still a beautiful and quiet place to go to. A great and positive difference from overly crowded places like Kuta. All activities around the beach from snorkeling to diving, going on an boattrip are available. The coral is at its best right at the beach. Staying with Ary's homestay made our Amed visit from good to great: the bungalows arevery clean and nicely situated so you can have a nice view at the see. The beach is2 minutes walking (road is a bit steep). But most of all, the family that owns the homestay are very friendly and do their best to make your stay as good as possible. The food in the warung is great, very fresh, simple but well prepared. Ketut, the manager, likes to help you with all kinds of things: trips, scooter, snorklinggear, taxi or anything that comes to hand in a place like Amed. He can also tell you about the right places to go for snorkling f.i. I read a comment from a visitor who gave the impression he is a bit pushy. I look at it another way: he is just a business man who likes to give friends some business. His prices are very competible compared to other agents we asked there. All in all a high recommendation.

family business, very friendly and helpful staff ;) only 3 rooms, that means very personal; quiet and relaxed atmosphere. by motorbike (also here to rent) all hotspots around are easily to reach. to the beach by feet only 5 minutes. for some nice and relaxing days in amed the perfect choice. we would come again every time :)

Friendly staff, nice big clean room, modern.
View from the room was mainly of a roof - not much ocean as advertised.

The owner of the hotel is very hospitable and pleasant. We stayed only for one night because we came to Amed only to try snorkeling and really enjoyed staying at this nice place. The owner helped us to organize our snorkeling trip, all we needed to do is to get up at the discussed time. The restaurant at the hotel is very good - food is extremely fresh and well prepared. Out room was a little bit noisy because of the road but the room of our friend was quite quiet. But we had a sea view though.

Everything's very clean. The view from up hill (where all the houses of this "warung" are all standing) is fantastic. But we asked for a room with a view in advance.
The stuff is very much slow (it is common for Bali as I found out). So take your time and relax when they are serving you breakfast for 30-40 mins, when the breakfast itself is just a cup of coffee and two toasts with a very small fruit salad. Also in the bathroom we had a big cockroach (3-4cm)coming out of the sink sometimes, which was pretty scary at night.

Cleanliness of the room; Sea view;
Poor breakfast; Construction work near our room (they're building some new bungalows there and start to work at 8 a.m. So we woke up early because of it).

Perfect for that price. Homestay = 1 warung(caffe) +2 bungalow . all staff is one famaly. Good room with good view. Good price for meals and alchohol(arakita with ice less then $2 and good) in warung. Very frendly staff. Good bungalow. Clean. Good place. Coral reef in sea not best but in $15 you can hire boat fot2-3 hour to snork in japanese wreck+coral garden or other place. 50-100 m to beach. Aircon and hot shower is ok
In general all is good. Probably room need 1 normall cabinet . safe was not working (but staff is one family so probably no sense in safe). Wifi was slow sometime not enough to skype voice call

1. Overall good location between Amed and Bunutan, 2. nice stuff
1. Harsh track to the beach, also just 40 meters, 2. overpriced for local standards and level of comfort, 3.very basic breakfast

Lovely, helpful people - the ones who spoke a little English! Great 4 poster bed with mosquito curtain. 2 bungalows only, front one had Wifi, back one didn't have the view or wifi.
